PHOTOS: Community gathers in Lancaster, Ohio for procession of EOD tech killed in Afghanistan

The remains of Spc. Joseph Collette, one of two soldiers killed in Kunduz, Afghanistan last month, returned to his hometown of Lancaster, Ohio Wednesday morning. The community gathered to welcome him home.

Collette was assigned to the 242nd Ordnance Battalion, 71st Explosive Ordinance Group. Sgt. 1st Class Will Lindsay, killed in the same operation, was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne).

Collette's funeral service will take place on Friday at 10 a.m. at Faith Memorial Church. A memorial service for Sgt. Lindsay will be held in Cortez, Colorado on a future date to be announced.
