Maybe this year you'll celebrate the Fourth at home, and that's great! This holiday is usally full of backyard BBQ's, and those aren't cancelled.

Here's a list of a few other things you can do in Denver this weekend, if you want to venture beyond the front porch.

FireworksOk, these won't be happening in Denver. Or Boulder. Or in a lot of cities around the state this year, but a few are still planning on lighting up the sky for the Fourth. Most cities are encouraging spectators to watch from home, but if you need to head elsewhere to get a view, it might be a good idea to grab your family some space, far from other spectators. Many shows plan to aim a bit higher with their pretty explosives this year, so they will be visible from further distances. Here's where those fireworks are going down, or should we say going up?

Farmer's MarketsMany markets around town will be open this weekend, but it won't be business as usual. Masks will be required, markets will have a cap on how many people are allowed in at once, and for some, registration or reservations are reccomended.A list of open markets and a schedule can be found here.

Visit a BreweryMany breweries have opened their patios (most are encouraging making reservations) so if you want to enjoy a beer outside, that you didn't have to pour for yourself, this might be a good option. If you're not sure where to go, start your brew search here.

Picnic in a ParkDenver parks are open, and a perfect place to soak up some sunshine if you don't have a back yard. Social distancing guidelines are very much in effect, and gatherings are limited to 10 people or fewer. However, a small Saturday picnic with the fam, or your best friend, is a great way to get a tiny bit festive on the Fourth.

Backyard Takeout PartyHave you done a distanced gatheing with friends? They are pretty great! The person with the largest yard can play host, and everyone brings their own food and drinks to enjoy outside. It's a great way to get together while minimizing risk. Plenty of local restaurants are doing take-out, and drinks to go! You can order up a custom party, just like that!
