This Sunday, June 11th, the Colorado Verterans Resource Show will feature the following guests...

  • John Mackin, USN Veteran and Chairman of the commissioning committee for the USS Colorado share the latest on when the Navy’s newest Virginia class submarine will be ready for duty and what’s being done to educate the residents about her. usscoloradocommittee.org
  • Ageless Aviation Dream is the life work of the Fisher Family and Darryl Fisher tells us about their program to take WWII veterans for a free flight in a Stearman, the plane most WWII aviators trained in before becoming pilots.  In an instant these heroes of 75 years ago go from being 90+ years old to young men again. agelessaviationdreams.org
  • Four years ago Cpl David Sonka was in Afghanistan with his service dog, Flex, serving in Operation Enduring Freedom.  An Afghan police office he was working with turned and fired killing David and Flex before being shot himself.  On June 14th his hometown of Parker will dedicate its first dog park, named for Cpl David Sonka.  David’s father, Kevin, who now dedicates his life to serving the military dog handler community joins us to talk about David and the non-profit he runs. rockymountaindawgsproject.org
