Sharon Stone has spoken out about her sister and brother-in-law's COVID-19 infection, criticizing individuals who do not wear face coverings as the reason for the diagnosis.

On Monday, the actress shared a grim and heartbreaking video of her sister, Kelly Stone, struggling to breathe as she urged people to take the novel virus seriously.

"I beg you to know that this is real," Kelly said in the clip. "I'm gasping for every breath with oxygen. Please do this for the people that you love — stand behind more tests, more masks, demanding everyone wear a mask. You never, ever want to feel like this. I promise you I only have love in my heart, it is breaking for people that can't breathe."

In an Instagram post on Sunday, the 62-year-old explained that Kelly was in the hospital being treated for the respiratory infection.

“One of you Non-Mask wearers did this,” Stone said in the post alongside photos from the hospital room.

According to the actress, her sister, Kelly, has a compromised immune system from a previous lupus diagnosis. Stone said Kelly only went to the pharmacy before the COVID-19 infection.

“Can YOU FACE THIS ROOM ALONE?” the actress asked in the caption.

In a follow-up video on her Instagram Live that was shared on Facebook, the "Basic Instinct" actress also said her grandmother and godmother both died of the virus, and that her sister and brother-in-law, Kelly's husband Bruce Singer, are both "fighting for their lives."

Stone also claimed that in the state of Montana, where her sister and brother-in-law live, people aren't able to get tested for COVID-19 unless they're symptomatic and test results are taking up to five days. She ended the video by encouraging people to vote in the upcoming election for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, saying that "with women in power, we will fight for our families, we will fight for people to live, and we will fight for people to get tested."

In a post on her own page, Kelly Stone posted a photo of herself with her husband from March.

“This is us. March 13. Drove to our paradise in Montana. We thought COVID wouldn’t and couldn’t find us. No shopping, no parties, barely saw a human,” she wrote.

She continued with a grim warning: “Now fighting for a breath.you don’t want COVID.”

Sharon Stone concluded her post with a warning of her own.

"Wear a mask! For yourself and others. Please," the actress wrote.
