Meghan Markle Gives Birth to Royal Baby, Prince Harry Confirms

The long-awaited news is finally here . Prince Harry confirmed that Meghan Markle has given birth to a healthy baby boy after Buckingham Palace confirmed to CNN that Meghan Markle was in labor early Monday.

According to BBC, the Duke of Sussex revealed that they were "absolutely thrilled" to welcome a baby boy in the early hours of Monday morning. Both mother and Baby Sussex are doing "incredibly well." The pair have not yet decided on a name for the littlest royal.

The news comes after much speculation this week since Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, arrived in the UK in April. Markle's absence from Easter celebrations had followers of the royals believing that the baby could be moments or days away, but after a couple weeks of silence from the royals, bookmakers taking guesses at the details decided to put a hold on betting over the weekend.

The pregnancy was announced back in October, but few details are known. Markle and Prince Harry have had a largely private pregnancy, revealing very few details regarding the due date, gender, and birth plans. It's unclear when the first photos of Baby Sussex will be revealed, as the family has requested time to celebrate together before making the details public.
