Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrated their one year anniversary this weekend. In reminiscing about the day’s happy memories, they’ve taken to the @sussexroyal Instagram to share some unseen photos from their wedding day.
The stunning, behind-the-scenes photos feature Markle preparing to walk down the aisle as well as photos of Prince Harry preparing to take his spot at the altar. They also reveal images of each royal signing their marriage certificate.
The caption reads, “Thank you for all of the love and support from so many of you around the world. Each of you made this day even more meaningful.”
Other photos in the series depict Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, holding hands with her daughter before the big moment. There’s a photo of Prince Harry seemingly reviewing his speech just before the big moment.
The final photo shows the newlyweds greeting the crowd that gathered outside of Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Chapel for the beautiful ceremony.
The photos are organized in a slide show which plays to the song, “This Little Light of Mine,” the song chosen by they couple for their recessional, according to the Instagram caption.
Between celebrating their first year of marriage as well as the recent birth of their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the Sussexes sure have a lot of happy firsts to honor.
