Luke Perry Helped His Son Land Role in Late Actor's Final Film

Before his passing, Luke Perry was working on what would be his last film – Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Jack Perry, son of the late actor, revealed that he actually has a small role in the film himself, and his dad helped him get it.

Perry's son, known in his professional wrestling career as Jungle Boy, sat down with Chris Jericho on his Talk Is Jericho podcast.

He revealed that while his father was filming the movie, he urged young Perry to get involved. “Because he wanted me…I did some extra work,” he adds, “He was really adamant about it.”

Perry agreed and ended up being in a few scenes alongside his father. “You may see me behind someone special,” Jungle Boy says of the film. He also talks about how important the film was to his father. According to young Perry, his father once said, “If I never work again, I’m happy with it.”

Upon Perry’s passing, Jack Perry posted a sweet tribute on Instagram, saying of his father, “He loved and supported me in everything, and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be.”

“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” hits theaters on July 26th.
