Kate Middleton Opens Up on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Baby

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spend their first days with their little bundle of joy, proud aunt and uncle Kate Middleton and Prince William share some thoughts over the birth of their new nephew.

While talking to reporters in London, Prince William expresses how “absolutely thrilled” they are to welcome the littlest royal into the world, but he also couldn’t help but make a cheeky comment, welcoming his brother into “the sleep deprivation society that is parenting," reports Hello!.

The Duchess of Cambridge added, “It’s such a special time, obviously with Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays, it’s such a great time of year to have a baby. Spring is in the air.”

The royal couple has revealed that they’re excited to find out what the name of the child will be. The frontrunning theories from bookmakers are Alexander, James, and Arthur. There’s also been a surge in popularity for the name Spencer, which would not only be a tribute to Princess Diana’s maiden name, but a nod to the common U.S. moniker.

Meghan Markle went into labor in the early hours of Monday morning and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. He weighs 7 pounds, 3 ounces.

In a statement to the press, Prince Harry confirms that “mother and baby are doing incredibly well.” He then goes on to gush about how proud he is of his wife, saying, “how any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension.”
