'Beverly Hills 90210' Stars Remember Luke Perry as Reboot Prepares for Launch

While the original cast of "Beverly Hills 90210" is working on a reboot of the series, they continue to cope with the loss of their late co-star Luke Perry.

"Luke was a huge part of our '90210' family and personally, Luke was a very large part of my life," Jason Priestley told the Associated Press on Tuesday. "So, it’s obviously very difficult to do this without him."

Ian Ziering expressed similar feelings and disclosed he’s having trouble “reconciling” Perry’s sudden death from a stroke in March. “It’s difficult,” the 55-year-old said. “He was a good friend of mine."

Jennie Garth echoed the sentiment and revealed his presence is still with them.

"He’s been with us every step of the way," the actress said.

Priestly, Ziering, and Garth are being joined by Tori Spelling, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Shannen Doherty on the upcoming reboot of the iconic ‘90s show entitled "BH90210."

The six-episode series has the stars playing heightened versions of themselves and will focus on being more of a comedy than a drama.

"It’s a scripted, fake reality show that follows Jason Priestley and Ian Ziering and Jennie Garth, all of us trying to get a reboot of ‘Beverly Hills 90210’ made, and what that entails,” Priestly said.

And while it won’t be like the original series, the reboot still promises to be quite entertaining.

He added: “Very much like ‘Episodes.’ A little bit of ‘Arrested Development’ thrown in there. A little bit of ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ thrown in there. But very much in the vein of those shows."

"BH90210" is set to premiere August 7th on Fox.
